A little about me

My name is April. I was born and raised in the North East. I adore anything connected to Halloween. My childhood nickname was and still is, Wednesday Addams. I will not start, or end, any day without listening to Pretty Vacant, or, the full 8 minute 14 second version of I Am The Resurrection. I believe we connect through music; it has been a key feature of the events I have run over the last 17 years.

I feel no shame or contradiction in admitting I’m an analogue girl in a digital world. I prefer a book to a kindle. An LP, always, over a playlist. I enjoy writing, but don’t fear having to have an online voice.

I’ve worn different hats in my career. From U2, auction houses Bonhams and Christie’s, to lighting manufacturers including acdc. The life experience gathered at all of these places, has, I think, added an edge to my little underbelly.

My educational background is English and Art History, graduating from Manchester University. Perhaps this explains my passion for the power and pull of the written word, or how a picture can speak a thousand words. It explains, in part, why I am comfortable creating content to help brands build an online presence.
